Statement of Need: This 8-hour course is specifically designed to fulfill a requirement mandated in 2023 for all DEA-registered healthcare professionals nationwide who prescribe medications. Guided by Jeremy Mirabile, MD, ABPM-ADM, FASAM, MRO, practicing Addiction Medicine Physician and Medical Director of Recovery Keys rehabilitation treatment center, this comprehensive CME course presents the essentials on the disease of addiction and equips healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to better understand and manage patients with opioid and substance use disorders (SUDs). Dr. Mirabile is a proven leader of multidisciplinary teams in various substance abuse, psychiatric, and behavioral health treatment settings, including outpatient and residential centers.
