The Recovery Keys team of addiction experts, including Medical Director Dr. Jeremy Mirabile, will be the featured addiction specialists in Jacksonville local news station WJXT’s ongoing campaign “Opioid Nation: An American Epidemic” over the next few weeks.
On August 31, Recovery Keys will be hosting a phone bank from 4-7pm with WJXT, answering questions live on air about the opioid crisis and how to help those affected. As local experts in the addiction community, the Recovery Keys team is uniquely qualified to speak to the Jacksonville and St. Augustine area about how to fight the opioid epidemic both at home and in the greater community.
Dr. Mirabile will also be featured the following week on September 6 during a day-long event focusing on opioid addiction. He will be part of a team of professionals on hand during the primetime premiere of the hour-long special “Opioid Nation: An American Epidemic” at 8pm on Channel 4. The program will include discussions on how legal prescription drugs have become the top health crisis facing the nation. Dr. Mirabile, other professionals and people fighting their own addictions will speak with News4Jax journalists about what can be done to stop this epidemic.
We’ve all heard about the opioid epidemic. But there are many questions that still need to be answered, and Dr. Mirabile and the other experts at Recovery Keys can help provide those answers. For those suffering with opioid addictions or those with family members and friends struggling to fight addiction, WJXT’s campaign is a great way to learn more from qualified medical professionals in your own community.
Tune in to WJXT on August 31 and September 6 to learn more about opioid addiction and what to do when it affects you or those you love.
