Shanay Zackery serves as the Executive Director for Recovery Keys, an addiction treatment and recovery program in Ponte Vedra Beach. In this leadership role, Shanay oversees daily operations, staff development, compliance, and the overall patient experience — ensuring that every individual who enters Recovery Keys receives compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care.
With a strong foundation in both healthcare administration and human resources, Shanay plays a critical role in aligning operational excellence with patient-centered outcomes. She leads cross-functional teams, implements administrative best practices, and ensures adherence to workplace safety and regulatory standards, all while fostering a culture of accountability, empathy, and service.
Shanay remains closely connected to the admissions and financial process, helping patients and their families navigate insurance verification, understand coverage, and explore payment and financing options — including third-party programs such as M-Lend. Her ability to simplify complex financial conversations and advocate for patients ensures they can focus on what matters most: their recovery journey.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Shanay graduated from Terry Parker High School before earning her certification as a medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants at Concorde Career College in 2011. She began her healthcare career in 2012 at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, where she supported patient admissions, insurance verification, and clinical care, and was promoted to Office Manager in 2013.
Since joining Recovery Keys, Shanay has grown with the organization — from admissions coordination to executive leadership — driven by her passion for helping others and her commitment to excellence. She believes that patients are more than individuals in treatment; they are family, deserving of dignity, clarity, and unwavering support.
Outside of work, Shanay enjoys spending time with her family and supporting a local youth all-girls dance team in Jacksonville. She is also continuing her education, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
