Lindsey Komara, LCSW serves as Clinical Director for Recovery Keys addiction treatment and recovery program. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Florida State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Lindsey brings to the Recovery Keys team her passion, strength and years of experience working in all levels of substance abuse treatment. She has also worked with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, older adults and children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Lindsey is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), which is the largest membership organization of professional social workers worldwide. She also served as Chair of the Volusia/Flagler Unit of the Florida Chapter of NASW. Early in her career, Lindsey was honored as NASW Student Social Worker of the Year. She remains an active member of NASW-FL.
Lindsey is passionate about her role in the treatment process and remains current on evidenced-based practices. She utilizes and values group therapy, recognizing the power of mutual aid in achieving unity through common ground and enrichment through differences. Lindsey believes that true change is facilitated by meeting people where they are in their unique process, and utilizing a strengths perspective to empower and promote self-determination.
