Christine Kennedy is a Primary Therapist with Recovery Keys addiction treatment and recovery program in St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida. She is a registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern and Associate Sexual Addiction Therapist Candidate in the state of Florida. She has experience in helping clients wrestle with the effects of multiple diagnoses which include but are not limited to substance abuse, chemical and behavioral addictions, trauma, depression, suicidal ideations, self-harm, eating disorders, sexual addictions, anxiety, and physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
Trained to work with trauma survivors, Christine has worked with all age groups. She uses a multitude of systems techniques to help individuals feel safe and secure within themselves and helps clients identify shame messages that get them stuck in addiction patterns. Christine works to create a safe environment for her clients that welcomes vulnerability and fosters hope. She is passionate about helping clients identify the root emotions underneath their addiction in order to help them become the person they always wanted to be.
Christine earned an undergraduate degree in Youth and Family Ministries and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Licensed Professional Counseling at Harding University in Searcy, AR.
Christine has experience working at the residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care treating addiction, mental health and trauma specific issues.
